Last week, Summer Moon Coffee in Friendswood, TX hosted our first-ever open mic night and it was a huge success! The event was attended by an electric group of students and parents, who all came together to share their love of music.
The night kicked off with a performance by our younger students, who braved the audience and confidently took the stage for the first time. Next up was a group of talented young musicians from our very own Live Band class. They played a song that they had been working on in their group, and they did an amazing job.
Throughout the night, we were treated to a variety of musical styles, from folk and pop to blues and jazz. It was great to see so many talented musicians taking the stage and showcasing their skills.
One of the highlights of the night was a performance by a singer-songwriter named Randy Olsen, who played a hauntingly beautiful original song that left the entire audience in awe. Randy records under the name Deep Field Photobomb, and has been releasing music recently while recording at Best Lesson Ever studios.
Overall, the first open mic night at Summer Moon Coffee was great fun. It was wonderful to see so many talented musicians coming together to share their love of music, and we can’t wait to host another event like this in the future. Thank you to everyone who came out and made the night such a memorable one!
